(I wrote the following piece one day while I was at work. Unfortunately, I didn’t put a date on it.)
If only one could experience the now moments more concretely, as a child does, using all the senses and having a conscious reaction and acknowledgement to each sensation. To hang out a window and smell endless possibilities in the air. To feel your own breath and consciously control how much air you take in. To make a game of it.
To go out and feel the embrace of the earth, to notice the shape of the clouds. To sing with the breeze and feel as free as it is. To go to the corner store one afternoon and have that be the greatest adventure ever. The exhilaration of today upon your fingertips.
Knowing that nothing and no one matters but this very moment. Because you can make it your own. Acutely aware of your choice to do so, you go forth, unafraid.
